This bibliography was compiled as part of the Early Childhood Education and Care: Private Commodity or Public Good? project by CRRU. The aim of the project is to gather and develop resources to inform and encourage Canadian dialogue on the important public policy issue of privatized child care. The project will be ongoing and the website will be updated on a regular basis.
This bibliography includes empirical research evidence and policy analysis on a number of domains relevant to differences between for-profit and non-profit child care. It is not completely exhaustive but includes the most pertinent documents. Most of the documents included are in published sources, primarily peer-reviewed sources.
