The early childhood workforce has long been identified as central to the delivery of high quality early childhood education. Despite continuing workforce issues such as access to professional development opportunities, gaps in skills and competencies, and the ongoing challenges regarding wages, benefits, and retention, the current changing landscape in Ontario's early years sector presents both new opportunities and challenges for the workforce.

The 11th Annual Summer Institute on Early Child Development examines the landscape of the early childhood workforce - locally and internationally. This year's Summer Institute explores how the early childhood workforce can be strengthened with a renewed vision of the skills and knowledge that early childhood educators bring to early learning and family support programs.

Join us to recognize the contributions of the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO) in supporting the professional status of early childhood educators.
