Social determinants of health conference
This national conference is jointly sponsored by Health Canada, York University's School of Health Policy and Management, CIRC Institute of Population and Public Health & Centre for Social Justice. CONFERENCE OVERVIEW Distinguished authorities in fields of health services, education, employment and working conditions, income and income distribution, unemployment, early life, housing, food, social exclusion, and social safety net will be providing an up-to-date report on the state of the social determinant in Canada. Each presentation will be responded to by a leading health researcher. Both presenter and respondent will comment on the policy implications for each field. The event concludes with a panel presentation of leading policy makers that addresses moving from research to policy and from policy to action. Poster sessions will run concurrently through the conference. Submissions can be made on line. For more information, please visit our poster info page. INTERPRETATION There will be simultaneous interpretation of all proceedings in English and French. FEES AND REGISTRATION Conference fee is $150 with limited subsidies available for those representing low income organizations.
